Just in case you haven't heard, THIS WEEK is the Fourth of July Week! What will you be doing? Spending time with family, cooking out, floating down the new river, kayaking, watching fireworks, roasting marshmallows, or getting roasted your self 🤪Either way, I am sure some of you will be glad to be off work and enjoy some relaxation! I know this girl is ready to go floating down the river on a kayak and do a little fishing 🐟🎣 eat some yummy burgers on the grill, and then enjoy some fireworks with my family!
But wait, why do we celebrate this holiday for? Independence Day (the Fourth of July) is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress had voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2, but it was not declared until July 4. Thank you Wikipedia!
When traveling this week, please keep in mind there will be lots of people roaming the streets and do remember the Backstreet will be closed for The Annual Christmas in July Event starting tonight at midnight!
Have a Wonderful Holiday!!!!
